The town is also surrounded by shimmering, sandy beaches. Monastiri, Kolympithres, Santa Maria are easily accessible by the local bus routes and even by caique from its port.

Paroikia is the capital town and main port of Paros. It is the year round center of commercial and cultural life on the island. Although the biggest town of Paros, it has maintained its Cycladic architecture. The neighborhood of Kastro is full with whitewashed cubic houses with wooden doors and windows and narrow alleys while colorful bougainvillea trees give a colorful touch. Getting lost in Paroikia’s lovely labyrinth is the perfect way to discover its charm. You will come across small boutique shops, centuries old churches, ruins of the Frankish castle, museums and of course, the most important landmark of the island Panagia Ekatontapiliani Monastery that is situated near the Port.
Visit the traditional Lefkes village
When looking for the most authentic village in Paros, the picturesque settlement of Lefkes is just the place to visit. The former Parian capital during the Middle Ages, Lefkes is situated only 11km southeast of vivid Parikia. It hosts approximately 500 inhabitants, making it a wonderful getaway for tranquility.
